What is a proton?

A proton is a concept expressed using H¹ and e− (hydrogen ions and electrons). It is introduced as a way to understand oxidation and reduction in a more accessible way for everyday life.

Hydrogen and protons differ fundamentally in scale and function. A proton is derived from the electrolysis of water (H₂O) and is described in scientific terms as a subatomic-level concept. Hydrogen (H₂) is a molecule formed by two hydrogen atoms bonded together. Hydrogen water refers to water in which hydrogen gas is dissolved.

No. Protons are fundamentally different from hydrogen gas (H₂), so they do not dissipate through heating or by being left standing. This is a key practical advantage of proton water over hydrogen water.

The Restore 369 connects directly to your existing tap via a diverter valve. No tools, no trades, no modifications to your plumbing.

Attach the diverter valve

Fit the included diverter valve to your existing tap using one of the provided adapter attachments. Compatible with standard Australian faucets — no tools required in most cases.

Connect the inlet hose

Route the inlet hose from the diverter valve to the Restore 369 unit, which sits on your benchtop within the 36 × 26 × 12 cm footprint.

Connect the outlet hose

The 2-way diverter (U-turn system) routes treated water back out through the secondary outlet hose to your glass or vessel of choice.

Plug in and select your level

Connect to AC 240V power. Use the push-button control to select from six electrolysis levels. The unit is immediately ready for use.
